Fragility is precious

Fragility is a nature of the human condition.

Even the body bears the meaning of endurance in the mind we still play with the preciousness of a moment and we experience it with every breath.

I see the fragility in own realization of being among certain circumstances and so I use this concept through all the steps of creating my artworks.

See invisible by seeking the manifestation…

Although the materials the artists of the two-dimensional art can use today are comparable in durability and sustainability and color lightfastness, there is still something saying “fragile” when you see the pastel drawing behind the glass. That´s why I use it for my current work.

To create the fragile character of elusiveness…

I begin drawing with a ruler and scissors, before choosing the best colors of soft pastels for the work and I think how the idea will appear processed through these means.

If someone asked me how long I would like my art last, I would probably answer that as long as it will last in the right place at the right time seen by the right pair of eyes unless the meaning of the art creates new circumstances in someone’s life.

But I have also bit selfishly created the picture in my mind of my artworks hanging in a bright room with big windows through which one can see a beautiful natural scene…

Bringing the connection with nature through the art and interior

I always liked the time spent out of the comfort zone for the feeling of belonging.I work with the idea of unifying the body with nature and natural elements in the living space.

Human dwellings were built to protect people from natural influences.

The interiors today create, although highly comfortable, a great barrier between the outdoor atmosphere and the one, we are able to design inside. It shapes the way of our every day.

I like to imagine that the value and meaning of the artwork changes with the owner. And the owner I mean the one who surrenders his thoughts for some time to the art in his view.

It is exciting to be a part of the reaction on what the art reflects in the eyes of the viewers and their personal opinions according to their lives and in the atmosphere they live.

And I can just wonder how what they see forms the thoughts at that moment. SP

Offline experience awakens the creativity in you

There is always something to look for every day, such as weather forecast… We open our laptops or swipe a finger over the phone display yet in the comfort of the bed half woke up.

Offline or online. Where does your inspiration come from?

Only a few of us would really open a window or go out to the garden to find out how the clouds are moving to decide what to wear when the internet does such a great service for us.

Offline experience awakens the creativity in you

Being offline means putting more effort into even the simplest things. Unrealized, being inspired and attracted by constant online pop-ups that are there to remind us of our intentions we cannot measure with what the true experience is. It´s becoming scares as never because, blinded by the light of ever developing technology, it has become too hard to do.

Imagine you are about to find a creative solution for some challenging task without using the internet and instead use your own memory. The mind seems trained for massive waves of information that suddenly does not have, and is looking for something to refresh the new connections.

It is like old books that are sitting on the shelf no longer for their content. When you switch offline they become needed again and you can be happy for having good titles to read.

This idea brought me to how likely there are many artworks that have become pieces of decoration and that people live passing the actual content of other people’s creations and so they miss the opportunity of real experience.

In my view, the difference between an online and an offline inspiration is extraordinary in the ability of the viewer to see the value and realization of his own values in comparison. Which then can result in one´s decisions. SP

Amateur Art

When an art becomes “mature”?

My recent post about visiting Amateur Art Fair brought me to this title which kind of categorises art.

I learned that it has its place and it brings something special – showing effort at first and althought there is always this word “amateur” leaving the feeling of lower quality in somewhat unidentifiable way, it has its own meaning.

It inspires in its subtle way of innosence not being heavy by other meanings. Instead, they were created in simple need of being creative. ŠP
